Project objectives
The project aims at facilitating the development of a market for biomass and supporting the sustainable use of biomass in the generation of heat and electricity in Serbia. In terms of capital investments, the Serbian government and KfW envisage the construction of several biomass-fired CHP-plants in cooperation with the DHC in order to tap into the vast energy potential of biomass in Serbia and - increase the efficiency of heat and electricity generation in Serbia by introducing a fuel efficient energy technology.

2) 3,080 meters of pipes, of which 2,180 are steel pipe lines in concrete tunnels and 900 meters are pre-insulated pipes

Project objectives
It is necessary to prepare the designs for a biogas combined heat and power plant (biogas CHP) in Cirkvena. Besides the production of the electricity, the plant will supply heat to the main building for heating and cooling, fermenter for supstrate heating, drying of grainy agricultural products and heating of greenhouses.
Project data
The raw materials for biogas production will be maize silage and the manure from the existing farm. The total expected amount of the maize silage 9.000 t/yr and 4.000 t/yr of manure.
The plant will produce approx. 1.920.250 Nm3/yr of biogas with average heating value of 6 – 6,5 kWh/Nm3.
Total electrical power of the plant: 500 kW
Total heating power of the plant: 490 kW

The raw materials for biogas production will be maize silage and the manure from the existing farm. The total expected amount of the maize silage 4.800 t/yr and 2.500 t/yr of manure.
The plant will produce approx. 1.010.973 Nm3/yr of biogas with average heating value of 6 – 6,5 kWh/Nm3.
